Anyone with any sense always carries a sword and the sort of blaster one might find cheaply among the inhabitants of the Sandal Planets: the warm worlds of Volund, Neith, Zuhura, and Bahram. A sandal-planet-blaster. Cheaply obtained, easily discarded. The less witnesses the better.
